During the years 1916 to early 1917, V.I. Lenin and the Cabaret Voltaire occupied numbers 14 and 1 Spiegelgasse, Zurich respectively. Politically and culturally these two forces dominated early 20th century-Europe, yet worked in isolation separated by a short distance of 80 metres.

During a residency in Zurich, the artist took the short walk between the two commemorative plaques at either end of Spiegelgasse and back again. The two films were then arranged as a synchronised dual screen presentation.
